Brokers Regulated by UAE Authorities
Only three UAE authorities regulate forex activities. SCA covers mainland forex trading. DFSA regulates DIFC-based brokers. FSRA regulates ADGM-based brokers. Licensed brokers must hold client funds separately from company money. They must follow strict AML and KYC rules. If you deposited with a licensed broker, complaints go through the regulator first. Recovery is often faster and does not need court action.

Yes. Forex trading is legal in the UAE.
But only three authorities regulate brokers:

If your broker is not licensed by one of these, they operate illegally in the UAE.
Can I recover money from a forex broker that refuses to pay?
Yes, in many cases.

What if my forex broker is based outside the UAE?
You still have options.

How do I check if a forex broker is licensed in the UAE?

If they refuse to give a number, cannot show a licence, or claim to be “regulated abroad” only, do not deposit. Talk to our team first.
